Way of Life without Possessing Anything

2011年11月1日

We humans always have some spiritual possessions.
The past experiences, delight, satisfaction or feelings of happiness.
All of them are spiritual possessions.

Spiritual possessions
may give you satisfactions, delight or relief in mind.
However, it gives fear at the same time.
Because where there are possessions, there are always fear.

As long as your spirit possesses something and keeps it,
you are afraid of losing it.

Experiences or delight that gives you relief and satisfaction, and the possessions.
You are afraid of losing those possessions.
Because they relieve and satisfy your mind,
and support yourself.

Where there are possessions in mind, you have fear. It is true.
Besides, where there is fear, you are not free.
In other words, as long as you have possessions in mind, you never have freedom.

Freedom is to possess nothing in mind.
If you don’t possess anything, you have nothing to lose.
If you have nothing to lose, you have no fear.

Nothing is freer than the empty mind without possessing anything.
Freedom is the empty mind,
and this emptiness is the state of having nothing, seeking nothing and being totally empty.

When the mind is empty, there is no obsession over the past.
When possessing and obsessing with something are over, freedom comes.
